Description

As a Blankly software engineer, you will develop the next generation of financial technology: creating an entirely new way to move assets across web2 and web3. We’re looking for engineers who bring experience from all areas—combining a passion for trading with experience using Python and a seamless user experience

As a key member of a small and versatile team, you will design, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions in the following areas.

Projects

• Bring the Blankly package to futures exchanges
  • Develop accurate simulations (backtesting) for futures integrations
• Develop software to manage and efficiently execute large, institutional orders
  • Add slippage models to the backtesting engine based on real order book feeds
• Work with WebSockets to accumulate and store volumes of financial data
• Integrate with custom data (e.g. news sources) to bring alternative data to the package

Skills

• Background in manual or quant trading
  • Slippage, large order management
• Background in advanced markets such as margin or futures trading
• Prioritization of high-quality tests and reliable code
• 📈  Interest in working with a community, reviewing community PRs, as well as responding and acting on issues
• 🐍 Extensive Python experience and technologies such as multithreading, multiprocessing, pandas.

Useful skills

• Rust or C++ for python extensions
